In Hong Kong, there are about 60 newspapers, some 670 periodicals, two commercial television stations, a pay television service, a regional satellite television service, one government radio-television station and two commercial radio stations.Of the some 60 newspapers in Hong Kong, 38 are Chinese dailies and 10 in English. They cover a wide range of topics including general local and overseas news, financial developments and also entertainment. Some Chinese newspapers also have overseas editions serving overseas Chinese community, namely those in the USA, Canada, the UK, Canada and Australia.
Hong Kong is also the Southeast Asian base for many regional and international newspapers, magazines, new agencies and electronic media. International news agencies which have set up bureau in Hong Kong includes Reuters, Associated Press, Agence France-Presse, and United Press International. International renowned publications such as Time, Newsweek, Asiaweek, Financial Times, Asian Wall Street Journal and Far Eastern Economic Review also have editions printed in Hong Kong.
