Coming to Hong Kong and not trying any of its exotic foods is like going to Paris and not seeing the Eiffel tower. Hong Kong is considered the Italy if Asia. With all of the people in Hong Kong crazy for food, there is flavor is the simplest of the dishes. The culture of Hong Kong spans to thousands of years which has led to the creation of some incredible dishes. For a very long time this area was something like a Galapagos island. The dishes here evolved to great extents. Later on when Hong Kong became a major sea port, its cuisines developed because of inputs of other cuisines form around the world.

One of the most weirdest food found in Hong Kong and that which should be had is the Stinky Tofu. Yes it stinks as mentioned in the name. This is a delicacy in Hong Kong. The tofu is fermented and deep fried. If you like sea food, Hong Kong is your choice. Jelly fish might not be the ideal sea food for many, but trust the jelly fish found in Hong Kong. You could also try old eggs. These eggs are rotten eggs. If you don’t mind eating reptiles, then you can find delicious Frogs and snake here which will make a few of cringe, but the few who dare to taste it, will remember the experience for the rest of their lives. Pork in Hong Kong cannot be classified in to an erotic food, but the pork here is heavenly. Pork for Hong Kong is like duck for Japan. It is prepared with lots of care and love. One more weird food you can find here are cooked chicken feet. These are crunchy and do not taste like chicken but are something different. These are quite common in Hong Kong.
